Alysha’s Goals as a Photographer.
I’ve spent over five years working full-time in a fashion studio, and during that time, I’ve grown just as much through hands-on experience as through personal reflection. That time not only refined my technical skills but also clarified my values and direction as an artist. While I remain open to a range of subjects, I’m driven by what my work represents. Issues such as fast fashion and consumerism weigh heavily on me, which is why I prioritize supporting local, sustainable, and ethical brands, artists, and businesses—those who are mindful of their impact.
My work is rooted in a fascination with still life, in particular the interplay between light, form, and texture. Much of my inspiration comes from the natural world, where light and shadow create a visual story. Although I appreciate the structure and control of the studio environment, I also enjoy being on location—where spontaneity and new environments push the boundaries of my comfort zone and creativity.
At the core of my work is a genuine interest in people. I’m curious about their stories, their passions, and the worlds they inhabit. Every project is an opportunity not just to create images, but to build connections. These interactions continuously inspire me in my creative process.
